aku-aku: v.. To move a tall, flat bottomed object (such as a bookshelf) by swiveling it alternatively on its corners in a "walking" fashion. [After the book by Thor Heyerdahl theorising the statues of Easter Island were moved in this fashion.] source: LangMaker.com. Aku Aku also has another meaning to the islanders: a spiritual guide.

I was looking at the Danger Hiptop as a way for me to get in on the moblog action here in the States, and I found another moblog site that has done something else I was thinking about: a moblog where anyone can send in photos for inclusion. This one is specific to the Danger Hiptop (or the T-Mobile Sidekick as it is branded in retail). I might have to get this, but unfortunately there's no coverage for it in NC yet (where I often find myself travelling to on business), so it can't replace my regular cell phone yet.

By the way, for the record, I don't really like the term blog and I don't care much for moblog either. But I can't think of anything better really...
