Someone has apperntly altered the globe applet (same one I use on my blog page) to use the geourl.org dataset to surf the blogosphere. Here's the link, requires java of course: Blogosphere.

That was me - although I think I based it on Tom's applet - which was the source for both of our applets (I don't remember since I did this a few years ago).
In any case doing globes seems like a good idea - somehow (and I can't really understand why) it seems different from geotool or other hardcore mapping tools...
So... wanna collaborate on a super-duper version? This whole area is really interesting - there is a lot of neat stuff that could be done here - I mailed you about this earlier and I never got a response back from you....
